OFDA hosts one to two Certified Celebrant Trainings per year. The training is in partnership with InSight Institute.
Becoming a Celebrant....
A funeral Celebrant serves by providing a funeral service, memorial service, or tribute that is personalized and individualized to reflect the personality and life-style of the deceased. A variety of people become Celebrants - funeral directors, preneed and aftercare specialists, chaplains, clergy, hospice professionals, teachers, business people, actors, writers, students - anyone who has an interest in serving families in this capacity regardless of their religious affiliation or no affiliation. A successful Celebrant is one who enjoys working with people, has writing and public speaking ability as well as listening and consulting skills.
