Edward was an OFDA member and owner of Edward W. McGrath Funeral Service

We have received word that OFDA member and owner of Edward W. McGrath Funeral Service, Edward W. McGrath, has passed away.

He was the beloved and loving husband of Marie; loving father of Scott Hurst, Sandy (Frank) Loucka, Cindi Judal, Monique (Jason) Stevens, Fred Hurst, Margo McGrath, Mel (Heather) McGrath and John (Courtney) Koenig; loving grandfather, great-grandfather and buddy of Albert; fond brother of William (Mary Ann) and John (Denise) McGrath; caring son-in-law of Marie (Ed, dec.) Schick; and brother-in-law of Karen (Bill) Korbul, Robert Schick and the late William and JoAnne Schick; and devoted uncle of 10.

He was a Licensed Ohio Funeral Director, and Past-President of North Royalton City Council from 1989-1991 and 1995-2003; Past-President of A.B.C. Polka Association; Cleveland A.G.M.R., North Royalton Chamber of Commerce, member of American Legion Post 703 S.A.L., Gottscheer E.O.U.V., Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Cuyahoga Funeral Directors Association, Parma Moose #1744, and Past Exalted Ruler of Parma Elks #1938.

Funeral Liturgy Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church, 8111 Brecksville Road at 10 a.m. (PLEASE MEET FAMILY AT CHURCH). Interment North Royalton Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday Sept. 16, 2013, at the Edward W. McGrath Funeral Service, located in the Riczo Funeral Home,7462 State Road, 44134 (S. of Pleasant Valley).
