Obituary for John A. Verdone

John A. Verdone, age 92; beloved husband of the late Patricia “Pat” (nee Stankus) for 62 years; loving father of Joseph (Mimi), Janette Murray (Peter), and Christine Wadden (Robert); dear grandfather of Michael and Julianne Verdone, Patrick, Kevin and Annie Murray, Megan and Jack Wadden; son of the late Angelo and Mary (nee Coreno); brother of Patrick (deceased) and Robert (deceased) (Anita). John retired from University Hospitals of Cleveland Pathology Department, was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, the Embalmers Association of Cleveland and Knights of Columbus Council 2790. He was also a charter member and past president of the Southwest Italian Club. The family suggests contributions to Gigi’s Playhouse, 15316 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107 or Meals on Wheels, Westlake www.westlakemealsonwheels.org.  Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church, 9183 Broadview Rd., Broadview Heights, Friday, December 20, 2024 at 10 a.m. Please meet at church.
