Obituary for Daniel A. Neer

Brother of Kimberly Lindsey and Brother-in-Law of OFDA Past President Walter Lindsey (Previous Co-Owners of Lindsey Funeral Home - Now Snyder Funeral Homes-Lindsey Chapel)

Daniel A. Neer, 69, of Lexington, died Monday evening, June 12, 2023, following a lengthy illness.

He was born on July 17, 1953, in Mansfield and was the son of the late James K. Neer and Ruth Ann Pittenger Neer Griebling. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1971 and spent his work career in the Mansfield, Bellville, and Galion areas. Dan was a former member of the Mansfield Ski Patrol and a former member of the Madison Township Fire Department, as well as, the Jefferson Township/Bellville Fire Department. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #2511 in Lexington.

Dan is survived by two children Danielle Neer of Apple Valley and Dustin (Amy) Neer of Bellville, three grandchildren, a sister Kimberly (Walter) Lindsey of Loudonville, a brother Mike Neer of Mansfield, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home-Lindsey Chapel, 123 N. Market Street, Loudonville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Cammarn officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Richland County.
