Obituary for Richard E. Phillips

Retired Funeral Director of Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home

Beloved husband of the late Barbara S. Phillips, loving father of Sally (Mike) Flesner, Elizabeth (Bill) Ginn, Leslye (the late Dan) Federmann and Nancy Phillips (the late Tim Tilk), loving grandfather of Allyson (Mike), Collin, Meaghan (Nathan), Josh, Trevor (Maria), Katherine, Kyle (Danielle), Austin (Payton), Lindsey and Andrew, great grandfather of Hudson, Ames and Connor, brother of the late James (Pat) Phillips and Joann (Richard) Parker.

Richard graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He started his funeral directing career working for his uncle in Tiffin Ohio and later finding his home at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home for 41 years.  He served his community on the Delhi Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Western Hills Exchange Club, Delhi Business Association, Knights of Columbus, also he was involved with Hospice and the Delhi Skirt Game.

Passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at age 83.  Visitation Tuesday, November 22 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.  Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM at St. Dominic Church.
