Summary:

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Bureau of Vital Statistics is transitioning to the new Ohio Vital Records System (OVRS) this Fall, replacing the previous IPHIS/EDRS systems. This live webinar will introduce funeral directors to the OVRS platform, highlighting key features, workflows, and best practices for a smooth transition.

The new OVRS closely mirrors Indiana’s vital records system, created by the same service provider, LexisNexis. OFDA Past President Gary Burr, who has been actively using Indiana’s system, will join representatives from the ODH Bureau of Vital Statistics to provide his experiences, tips, and practical advice to help you adapt quickly and avoid common pitfalls.
