I Want to Help, but I Don’t Know How…Providing a Dignified Funeral for Veterans and Those Without Families
Continue exploring the benefits offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, with a particular emphasis on veterans who lack familial or external support systems. Don and Melissa will review benefits that are currently available to veterans and discuss how you and your funeral home can receive compensation for the services and goods rendered to veterans lacking familial support.
Additionally, Melissa and Don will dedicate time to discussing the Indigent Burial and Cremation Support Program in Ohio. Despite its current suspension, the application procedure and payment framework will be examined in case funding for this program is reinstated and provide guidance to funeral directors working with legal municipalities.
