Ethics in Cremation: A Colorado Case Study

This session examines the consequences of a 40-year regulatory vacuum in Colorado’s funeral and cremation industry. Through five real-world case studies, participants will explore systemic failures, ethical breaches, and the scandals that shook public trust—leading to the reinstatement of state licensing in 2024. Unlike traditional ethics training, this narrative-driven session highlights the tangible impact of deregulation on families, professionals, and the industry’s reputation.
