Rosmarie P. Amato, 90, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Gardens at Celina. Rosmarie was born May 19, 1933 in Celina, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence P. and Emma Lee (Pulskamp) Art. On April 11, 1953 she married Jerry Amato, who survives living in Celina. Rosmarie is also survived by her five children; Constance (Paul) Addessi of Paradise Valley, AZ, Victoria (Doug) Gober of Kenner, LA, Nick (Jan) Amato of Grad Rapids, MI, Vince (Jeanne) Amato of Dublin, Mike (Candi) Amato of South Lyon, MI, 9 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren, her five siblings; Bernie (Jocie) Art of New Bremen, Pat Hoyng of Celina, Kathy (Chuck) Gorsuch of Hendersonville, N.C., Georgie (Bill) Nungester of Spencerville, Ken Art of Celina and two brothers-in-law Jerry Backus of Delphos, Mike (Clair) Amato of Tucson, AZ and her sister-in-law Audrey Amato of Coldwater. Rosmarie was preceded in death by her Father and her Mother, sister Dottie Backus, brothers-in-law James Hoyng and Joseph Amato. Rosmarie was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception High School. She was a Bookkeeper for CBS and Amato Produce in Celina. She was a very active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. Holding membership in the Immaculate Conception Alter Rosary Society, the Immaculate Conception School Board and was a member of the Church Finance Committee. Reading was a favorite past-time for Rosmarie, she loved historical fiction novels and enjoyed listening to jazz piano music performed by her Husband. She was an avid bridge player. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosmarie at 10:30 a.m on Wednesday Oct. 4, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Thomas Brenberger C.PP.S. officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023 and Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Her remains will be interred in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund.
