Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, a family owned business serving the community since 1902, is seeking a funeral director/embalmer apprentice to serve a one-year apprenticeship. With locations in Sandusky, Huron, and Milan, Ohio, you will be assisting in all aspects of funeral services, funeral home and cemetery operations, and will be using your talents for standard preparation of remains. This full-time apprentice position will include evening and weekend on-call shifts. Ideal candidate has recently completed or is nearing completion of an accredited Mortuary Program, and is interested in growing in a fast-paced work environment. Must have intermediary computer and excellent communication skills, and be interested in innovative thinking within a progressive environment.
