Obituary for Beverly S. Batton

Mother of Brad Batton, Owner of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home

Beverly S. Batton, 76, of Upper Sandusky, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.

Born in Bucyrus, OH on November 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Russell D. and Martha J. (Gottfried) Newell.

Bev married Michael D. Batton on June 3, 1957 in Upper Sandusky.  He preceded her in death on November 9, 1990.

She is survived by their five children:  Michele (Sherry Hon) Batton, Aurora, CO, Brenda Keller, Upper Sandusky, Marlene (John) Niederkohr, Upper Sandusky, Brad (Joan) Batton, Carey and Marsha Armstrong, Upper Sandusky, 11 grandchildren:  Abby (Marc) Copeland, Elika (Eric)Whitney, Beau (Marnie) Hahn, Brian (Mollie) Hahn, Kathryn (Jeremy) Lowe, Emily Niederkohr, Anna (Brett) Ralph, Healy Batton, Ian Batton, Brock (April) Armstrong, Kelsey Armstrong, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Bonnie (Tom) Menningen, and a sister-in-law, Sharon Newell, both of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Betty (Allen)Walton, a brother, Ronald Newell, a granddaughter and a great grandson.

Bev was 1957 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at LUCAS-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. 

The funeral service will be Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lucas~Batton Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Trester officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
