Rita Frances Boehmer

OFDA received word this morning that Rita Frances Boehmer (nee Singer) died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in her 96th year.

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert L. Boehmer, beloved mother of Charlene (Robert) Asbach, Annette Langenbahn, Elaine (Richard) Bischof, Barbara (Randy) Bennett, Albert L. (Barbara) Boehmer III, and Deborah (Stephen) Bittner. Grandmother to Steven, Mark, Julie (Spiros) and Michael Asbach, Rick, Amy (Phillips), and Andrew Langenbahn, Richard Bischof, Todd, Traci (Pogue) Bennett, Albert L. IV, James, and Zachary Boehmer, Brandi, Chad, Dawn and Adam Bittner. Great-grandmother of 19. She is survived by a sister, Lucille Humphrey, is a devoted aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Formerly involved at St. George Parish and School, Married Ladies of St. George Club, St. Joan of Arc Senior Citizens in addition to volunteering at the Veterans Hospital, Red Cross, and later being a member of the St. Bernard Women's Club and Senior Citizen Group.
